Prompt: Who is the most interesting character in the book and why.

          The book Schooled is a very good book and I think that the most interesting character in the book is Capricorn Anderson or as people call him cap. I think that he is the most interesting character because he is not updated with today's society and I feel as if he will be but it will just take a while to.

           I think that he is also interesting because he can do stuff that a normal teen wouldn't do, for example he can drive. I have a question for you, how many 13 year olds have you met that can drive?! I think that this also makes him one of the most courageous person in he book. From his free spirited mind to him being a bit naive, Capricorn Anderson is one of the coolest person that I have ever read about.


          In the end I will be finished with this book by Friday so this is my last blog on this book. Make sure to leave a comment on what did you think about the book and if you will read it. I will start reading Zebra Forest next week so be prepared for some awesome blogs!

Prompt: • Predict what will happen next.

       I think that later on in the book that he is going to be treated like a regular person and that Rain will become healthier and she will say come home with me and he will object and stay at school. I think that in the end the book will leave us a message that says to accept others no matter how different they are. Thats just my prediction.
          
Another prediction that I have is that he will fall in love with the girl who despises him and thinks that he is a freak. I think this because it would be a good plot twist so basically the "strange" guy gets the girl that cares a lot about her image. I think that this will definitely spice up the  story and give it an amazing twist.

Finally I must admit the fact that I have very high expectations for this book and if they do not come true than thats okay. I believe that this book will be very good and it is good so far so I will finish the book by next week on Monday because I had backtracked and I didn't get to get as much reading as I wanted to but I will be done with this book by next week monday.

Prompt: Describe the similarities and differences between the main character and you.

          The book Schooled is about a hippie who goes to school. I believe that me and the main character are different because the character is a little bit not up to date since he had been homeschooled his whole entire life which is very strange. Capricorn Anderson is the main character and sometimes he can be a misfit because our society is way different from the 70's.

          A similarity that I have with the main character is that me and him are both a bit courageous. Although I don't drive I do take a stand if I believe something is wrong. Some people in school can be a bit rude and Capricorn Anderson understands the same struggle that other kids have to deal with everyday. Some people may be able to relate to this or not but sometimes being weird is good. It is good to standout if your doing so positively. 

          In the end the book is very good and I will be done maybe by the next week and because of that I might try to do a blog every 2 days just to keep you updated on how the book goes. In the end the book leaves us with a message and that is to be weird, it wont kill you to be yourself. :)

The first time I...

Prompt:When was the last time you did something for the first time?

          The last time I did something new for the first time was when I went to the music store and I had bought a song from the store to play at home on my flute. I had never gone shopping for music so looking for music was very tricky, looking for the perfect song that works for both level and skill of playing the instrument was very hard. Luckily I managed to succeed and I found the perfect song.

          The book that I had bought which featured various songs was called Wicked. Now you may know Wicked from Broadway, but the music is very challenging. When trying to play the song alone while not being accompanied by the other instruments its hard to tell if you should play soft or to play very dramatic. Now I know to always be aware of what you are getting yourself into.

          Because of this learning experience I now know how to pick out the right music for me to play. I now know 3 of the songs and I am proud that I learned to play all alone. People who are looking to by music to play should definitely  keep in mind of what they can play and what they can not. No matter if its to easy or to hard always strive to accomplish what is ahead and never look back.        

MockingJay Week of 12.15.14

Prompt:• Describe the major conflict. What side are you on?

            The major conflict in the story is how president Snow is keeping Peta as captive to keep Kattnis mad. In my opinion I think that Kattnis and Peta were really cute for each other but the only problem is that Kattnis like's Gale but I hope it isn't like that for the rest of the book because even though Kattnis tries to act as if she doesn't like him, deep inside she know's he's the one for her.

           Another main problem in the story is how President Snow and Kattnis are basically at war with each other at the moment. Right now Snow is bombing this district and Kattnis at the moment has just shot down one of the Plane's which has made a chain reaction causing other planes to fall as well. I think that the author is making us have mixed emotions about Gale because it would make it more interesting but I also think that Gale should stop interfering with them.

           I really feel like Kattnis and Peta will get together in the end of the book but I am still to read and find out more information on this love triangle. I will continue reading this book and I am going to start reading extra now and I will be done with the book by next week, I may not be able to bring home my laptop from school but I will use my home computer and will keep you updated.

Prompt:Predict what will happen next

            So far in the book Katniss has visited a district and is in a hospital with people who are wounded and or dead. Next time I open the book I predict that Katniss is going to take most of the wounded people to their base which is a lot safer. To me I think this because knowing Katniss she is a very nice person. When Rue died in the first book she cried and she was very sentimental about that and I think that will happen because she probably most likely isn't going to stand around letting them die.

               I also think that there will be some type of war between Katniss and Snow because Snow has been taunting her for a while and knowing him he probably is very furious about her blowing up the dome in the second book. Katniss is lucky that she got saved and got that medical attention because if that didn't happen than she would probably be dead.

              I also think that Petta has gone bad because he's standing side by side with Snow and to me that symbolizes that maybe he has gone to the dark side. I think this because of the photo, although these photos are from the movie, I shouldn't be accosiating the movie with the book becuaue the book is my main sorce but my friends have told me that the movie is just like the book so I am assuming that something like this photo will be described in the book

Blog of 12/11 Mockingjay (Spoilers!)

Mocking-jay By Suzanne Collins 

Prompt: List the reasons why another person should or should not read this.Pages read: 0-65

         One reason why someone should read this book is because this book is full of adventure and action! I believe that this book not only is full of action but it is also very descriptive like how at the begging of the book it describes her standing in the ashes of her ounce known home. The Hunger Games changed Katnis and I think it just made her stronger, she entered for her sister and now she has seen so much blood fall and so many people die.

         I also believe that people should read this book because in a way it is pretty sentimental and sort of sad because in the beginning of the book it says how Peeta is now missing/dead and I find that really tragic because in the other books Katnis and Peeta had always had this really good friendship and knowing that it is Katnis's fault because she had killed Peeta while the arena collapsed.

         I also think that you should read this book because the book itself is sort of nasty and by nasty I mean that the book is sort of scary because in chapter one it describes how she has to walk on the remains of the people that had been killed because of what she had done in the arena. Because of this I really feel bad for her because she didn't do that intentionally knowing that it would kill a lot of her home. In conclusion I believe that this book is really good and I can't wait to open the book again and to see what's in store for me.
